Let's compare the taste of lots of varieties!

Did you know that tomatoes are not just red and yellow? There are actually many different varieties!
There's ones with trendy names, like "Carol" or "Sun Garnet", and there's the "Tomato Berry Opera" which is exactly the same shape as a strawberry... and so on and so forth!

The farmer cooperating with us to bring you this special plan is this year growing an astonishing 16 different species of tomato!
As you taste your way through the various tomatoes, find your favorite and take it home as a souvenir!

15:00~15:15 Stop by Shin'ei-no-Oka View Park for views and photographs
15:30 Arrive at Biei Station. Tour Disbands.

 ※Please come to Shiki-no-Jouhoukan by car. The guide will lead you to the starting point.
 If you do not have a driver's license or if you don't plan on using a rental car, please let us know at the time of booking.
 ※The tour may be cancelled due to bad weather (e.g. typhoon).
 ※Depending on the condition and cultivation of the crops, the season and duration of this experience may be subject to change.
Conditions to participate
Minimum number of participants: From 1 person (Children must be accompanied by an adult)
 ※For insurance purposes, we require the names as per passport and ages of all participants.
 ※Upon applying, please inform us of a contact phone number we can use to reach you the day before and on the day of the experience.
 ※As we will loan you gum boots, please let us know the shoe sizes of everyone in your group.

Terms and Conditions
・Depending on the condition and cultivation of the crops, the season and duration of this experience may be subject to change.
・Depending on the condition and cultivation of the crops, the species of tomato you can harvest will differ from day to day. There may be cases where all 16 species are not available for harvest, in which case we deeply appreciate your understanding.
・The tour may be cancelled in the event of rain. In addition, the tour may be cancelled if heavy rainfall the day before the tour causes the earth to become waterlogged, or if, due to the conditions of the field the tour needs to be cancelled even in good weather etc. We ask for your understanding in advance.
・In the event that the tour is cancelled, we will contact you the day before or on the morning of the tour so we request that you inform us of a telephone number or address that it is possible for us to reach you at.
・We regret that we cannot allow participants to just observe. Please inform us of the exact number of participants who will enter the farmland.
・Upon entering the farmland, we will ask you to change into the boots we have provided and they will be disinfected in order to prevent disease-spreading microbes on your shoe soles getting into the soil. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
・When cutting the asparagus, you will be using a bladed sickle so please handle with great care. In particular, to avoid injury to children, we ask that parents or guardians confirm safety points with their children during participation.
・There are no shaded areas in the field or the greenhouse so we ask that you bring sunhats, a towel to wipe away sweat and plenty of fluids to protect yourself against heatstroke.
・Smoking is forbidden in the fields.
・There are no convenience stores, vending machines or toilets around the fields. Please use the facilities at the Tourism Information Centre before departure.
・[For Residents of Japan] It is possible to order additional farm produce for home delivery (additional costs apply). Due to international customs restrictions, we regret that this service is not available to clients residing outside of Japan.
