Mt. Tokachi Mini Trekking

Late April ~ End of October

Lingering snows in spring and a crimson panorama in autumn!
Let's go feel the the full impact of a smoking crater up close!

Set off from an observation platform halfway up Mt. Tokachi in Daisetsuzan National Park and enjoy about an hour of mini trekking.
You will need to climb a little as the view unfolds below you-- even those who are not confident in their strength can enjoy this experience!
In an average year, there is still snow on the ground at the top of the course until about the start of June, so you can even enjoy a little fun in the snow.
In autumn, you can see a panorama of the earliest autumn colours in Japan!

The view of Biei from high in the mountains is stunning!
In spring and summer, alpine flowers are in full bloom.
You'll be lucky if you meet this chap! It's a small and very cute Northern Pika.
